Posted on Nov 30, 2011
The Gospel Image is a graphic representation of the good news of Jesus Christ. It illustrates five key elements of salvation as given through grace. Mainly that Jesus came to the earth in human form, He died on the cross, was buried in the tomb, rose from the dead, was raised back to life for the forgiveness of sins, and one day will be coming back. Below, each aspect of the Gospel image is outlined in further detail with additional scriptures that will help you understand the true Good News of Jesus Christ.

This is what Jesus did for you and I:
- He took our sins to the cross and gave us His righteousness (2 Cor 5:21)
- While we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Rom 5:8)
- He became the source of eternal salvation (Heb. 5:8-20)
- He justified us and extended to us His grace (Rom 5:1-2)
- It is by grace we are saved (Eph 2:8)
- All spiritual blessings are ‘in Christ’ [used 172 times in NT, 97 by Paul] (Eph. 1:3-13)
- Salvation is found by being IN CHRIST (2 Tim. 2:10)

He will separate the sheep from the goats (Matt 25:31-33)
He will take those who have been obedient to His will to heaven (John 14:3, 15; Heb 5:9
These are the biggest questions of your life:
How does one get “into” Christ, how do they make contact with His blood (Rom. 6:3-4; Gal 3:27)
How does one join Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection? (Rom. 6:1-4)
What is our appeal to God with good conscience? (I Pet. 3:21)
How important was this ‘action’ to Jesus? (Matt 3:13-17) then (Matt. 28:19-20) and finally (Mark 16:16)
How important was it to those whom He left to spread the kingdom? (Acts 2:38)
Are you ready for His coming?
Have you ever responded to the gospel, the good news, of Jesus Christ (I Cor 15:1-4) |
